Easter 2012

Yes, I am behind, but so is life!  After church on Easter, we all went to Emily and Caleb's for lunch with the Jones', a family 't-ball' game, adult egg hunt and a lot of lounging around!  It was a beautiful day and so wonderful to get to spend it with family!  Lily was super excited about her bunny basket from Nonna and Poppa!

Well, we actually went to the EACC auditorium to watch Lily and her friends in their 1st dance recital.  Lily was well represented and really did a good job.  She told me she had fun, but she likes t-ball better!

We are all very happy Lily didn't get 'jealous!'  On Saturday afternoon, Emily said Lily was hiding under the table and she asked her want was wrong.  Lily said 'I think I'm getting jealous'.  Emily asked her what she meant and she said...you know when you don't want anyone to see you!

 

My calendar is about to be empty...

Tonight was the last community council meeting for the 2011-2012 year. I so enjoyed serving with this great group of women whose hearts are all around making our community a better place!

Was a very special night for GROW as GROW was named the committee of the year, Rebecca was named volunteer of the year and my sweet committee chairs honored me by sending Kenny(no I don't pick favorites!) to summer camp!

Celebrating 89 Beautiful Years...

After a busy morning, we headed to Cabot to celebrate Grandma Deen's 89th Birthday!  I really think she loved the attention and we loved being with her on her special day!

Behind me! What an awesome day to be at Lester Community Center! It was the final Saturday event of this school year and Rebecca and her committee outdid themselves. To top it off, the weather was perfect for the outside event! We had a gaming mobile, bounce house, petting zoo (which was a huge hit), an award winning BBQ team and a parade! Director Casey believes there were 1,200 outside in total. Someone said lunch was like the bible story of the fish and bread...the food just kept coming and she was so right! What a Proud day this was for me...being a part of such a wonderful organization and working along side such fabulous women all while making a difference in our community!

After some convincing, Grandma let mom and I push her down the street to Colton's! It was a beautiful day for a stroll and it was great for her to get out! She only wanted a hamburger and she didn't even eat half of it, but she enjoyed the steak off of mom's salad and some sweet potato!

Life is Good

Who knew Memphis was getting a Life is Good store on Main Street? We are going mainstream! These goods remind me of the beach, so when I walked to the post office on Main and Peabody today and noticed the sign in the window I went right back to my computer to google. Sure enough it wasn't an April fools joke...the business journal posted about it in December!

Home...

It feels great to be home. I've gone nonstop since getting home, but I think that has helped my jet lag. This is prime season for Lily's Greenhouse, so Ray and I went and kept these two 'China' cuties while Emily worked. They have so many traditional and unique bedding plants in stock, but they are going fast...I totally stocked up and can't wait to fill my planters tomorrow!

Lily loved her China gown and Layne looked so handsome in his silk China pajamas. I can't get over how grown up Layne seems. Of course, Lily had asked me to bring her back a stuffed panda, so that was really all she was concerned about! Love these two so much!

Homeward Bound...

Went to bed at 12 am and woke up at 3:30 am wide awake.  I guess I was nervous I would miss my flight home!  Wheels Up (AZ terms for you better be in the vehicle or we leave you) at 6:15 am and hope to be in Memphis at 5pm tomorrow!  Have had a great trip, but can't wait to be home.  And, I can't wait for a cup of coffee...I'm just not a hot tea person!
