Flexibility

I love finally have flexibility in my job! I was able to meet these favorites today and to see the Easter bunny with them!

Layne wanted to throw his coins in the fountain, but Lily used hers for the massage chair!

Now to the dentist and then back to work I go.

Weekend!

Well, I watched the sun set over Utah and rise over Tennessee...that's one of the good things about a red eye! Plus you get home sooner and I love to be on the go, but I always love coming home more! #homesweethome

By taking the red eye, I got to go to the We Love Binghampton fundraiser and the Jr. League board dinner (neither of which I took any pictures at) on Friday night. Then this morning Ray and I walked in the 'snow' to enjoy breakfast at Paulettes. We don't do that often, but we both enjoy it when we do!

While it might have been snowing outside, we were channeling spring inside the community center this afternoon...bird feeders and ice cream sundaes for all!

I'm only home for 36 hours...

So, I had to make the most of it!  Got in right on time last night and was so happy to be home even if only for 36 hours!  I started this Saturday morning with the 4 miler Race for the Summitt to benefit the Pat Summitt Foundation.  I want to help promote this race next year...it is a great cause and all UT fans are Pat Summitt fans too!
After swinging by the Jr League Estate Sale and running some errands, we spent the afternoon riding bikes and bowling!  Ray and I love getting to spend time with out favorites.  We just missed Mullen today.  I wish I could get videos to post, because I have some great ones of Lily's happy dance when she got a spare!  Tonight we grilled out and cheered the Grizz to a victory.  Just repacked and I'm off to bed as tomorrow will bring early church and a flight back to SLC.

and the CELEBRATING continues...

What a fantastic weekend with family and friends!  Friday night I got to go play with this big boy!
Then on Saturday mom made lunch and everyone came to our house for my family birthday celebration.  Faye and OL Robinson were able to join us for the celebration, too!  Mrs. Robinson taught career orientation at West Junior High forever...she taught my dad, mom, myself, Emily and Molly.  Mrs. Robinson and I share the same birthday and I love that I get to share my special day with such a special friend.  I also share my day with my Aunt Faye (who is my Grandma Dean's sister).  I remember in 8th grade she took me to celebrate with a shamrock shake from McDonalds.  Since then she has been at all of our weddings and other special occasions.
Layne was super excited to have the cupcake with the candles in it!

Then the family headed to Beale Street for the St. Patrick's Day parade!  I just love when we are all together!

These three were so into the parade.  We all had so much fun!
I love this picture of my oldest favorite...she asked me if I would use it as my screen saver!

Lily was Queen of the Beads again this year!  She thinks she got even more than last year and I think she is right!
After catching all those beads, we were all hungry again.  So, we walked to Movie & a Pizza!
And if that wasn't enough, Ray and I had Grizz tickets!   I must say I can't think of a better way to end this fabulous day and week long celebration than with a GRIZZ WIN!!  It was a GREAT game.  It was also the GRIZZ's birthday celebration.   What a wonderful week this has been.  If this year is anything like what the last week has been...bring on 37!  Now, off to Salt Lake I go.

Still celebrating!

I have gotten to where I absolutely love Birthdays! I used to play mine down, but now I love to celebrate it! And celebrating is what I continue to do...
Yesterday was a great mail day. I got some cards and an unexpected AMEX gift card, plus I got this delicious cake from Ray's sweet mom. Delicious is an understatement...I could eat this entire cake in one setting if I would let myself!

Then I celebrated with a fabulous dinner with these two. We always have the best times together. We can't wait to go back to Season's 52...the food was delicious and they even take your picture and put in a frame on your birthday (and all the meals are under 450 calories!).

Tonight, Kim and I celebrated with Big Pedis and wings. Such a fun time!

Oh and I'm going to continue celebrating for at least 2 more days!

Shine Bright Like A Diamond!

Ray made the Diamond Circle at work for 2014, so we got to go celebrate at The Atlantas on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas!  I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled about The Atlantas as Molly and I stopped off at The Atlantas during our cruise and we thought it was a tourist trap. Well, that it is and it is getting run down, but we had great weather and a good group of friends to enjoy it with so we had a wonderful time.  We enjoyed the beach, water slides, the rapid river, sharks, dolphins, left right center, delicious food, a Junkanoo parade and dance party and much more!
Seriously the most beautiful view everywhere you looked!

So glad Andrew and Julie made this trip!
 Some of Ray's great coworkers
Ready for the awards celebration or what we like to call the Daytime Emmy's!
On the beach there were awnings over the chairs that some really liked!
On Thursday everyone was posting snowmen, so Emily, Michele and I made a sandman...laying out in the sun!
We introduced many from this group to L, R, C 3 or 4 years ago and it is always the first question I get when we get to the airport...did I remembered the dice!
Ray's big boss, Steve, absolutely loves this game.  We were all so excited when he won one of the rounds!
Friday night was a free night and we snagged reservations to Nobu which was the absolutely best sushi we have ever had!  Plus, they sang Happy Birthday to me!
There are statues like this all over the hotel.
This was Ray's favorite part...the rapid river!  I wish I had pictures of the slides!
Our last day on the beach!
 The pre party before...
the Junkanoo parade and dance party began!
These sweet girls made sure everyone knew it was my Birthday!
Always fun times with The Brims!
This band rocked and we danced the night away!

All in all it was fun, but we were both happy to get home.  No pressure Ray, but next year is all inclusive and in Punta Cana!

Celebrating Mom's Birthday and baking her a cake!

Lily and Layne came over on Saturday after the gin show to bake Nonna a birthday cake.  They were so serious about it...they planned the entire thing together and had so much fun doing it.  Per their request we did a 9" on bottom and a 8" on top!
Who doesn't enjoy licking the bowl?
While their cake baked and cooled they flew airplanes with Uncle Ray!
Then it was time for icing...dark pink on bottom and light pink on top.
And sprinkles...lots and lots of sprinkles!
Lily was afraid to write on the cake, but Layne wanted to help!
This cake was definitely made with a lot of love (and sprinkles)!
Late Saturday, Lily decided we needed some party games.  So, she drew us pin the tail on the donkey.  We laughed and laughed.  It was so much fun!
 Nonna won the trophy!
Then it was cake time!  Great time was had by all!  We love you, Nonna!
