Crazy Love...

There is really no better way to kick off a week at the Beach than at the beach church service that Destin Methodist has at 7:30am behind the Holiday Inn. The preacher was to marry Ray and I, but he got called to serve as a Chaplin in Iraq the month of our wedding. What better than singing worship music with the waves in the background? Today was about how to be a good samaritan you have to have Crazy Love and when you have crazy love your heart will rejoice...it really touched me given the fulfilled sense of purpose I feel when I'm around the kids at the center. So thankful for our freedom and the opportunities we have to show Crazy Love.

Sunday Family Funday...

In Cabot! First we visited with Grandma. She had to go to the hospital on Tuesday night, so she was still recovering. I love the time I get to spend with her...

Lily is so sweet with Grandma...here she was teaching her how to use the Talking Tom app on Aunt Molly's iPhone.

Mom was taking the picture, so she missed the pic...so glad we could all be there together.

Then we went to celebrate Lauren's 1st Birthday! Lauren looked so cute and seemed to really enjoy herself. Everything was so nice.

She especially loved her Minnie Mouse Cake! Look at all the cute goodies...

The One About the Farmer's Market...

is long overdue. Normally I don't love glads as they remind me of a sympathy flower, but I couldn't pass on these bright colored beauties...and a pop of sunflowers too! I uploaded this image of the beautiful flowers I got at the Farmer's Market last weekend and then work got the best of me. I've survived another yet another category review, so back to some free time for the important things in life...like blogging. I love the downtown farmer's market for many reasons such as it's proximity to my house, the friendly vendors, the beautiful flowers, supporting local farmers and now for...Paradise Seafood. This fisherman who we will call Guy, has his dream job...all summer he goes down to the Gulf, fishes for the week and brings his fresh catches up to Memphis (I'll know if real story by the end of the season), but for now we are going to enjoy his work/hobby! I purchased fresh Grouper and Scallops to make Ray a belated birthday dinner. Ray has told me several times how fantastic it was and I even surprised myself with the flavor! I can't wait to go back and see Guy next week! Chef's note: Don't skip the sauce!
