How about that...

My poor 8 year old MacBook is having some issues and will not post. However, it has been such a good laptop and I'm not giving up on it yet. My phone has been giving me an error message when I try to post, but today I logged onto gogo inflight while in the air and low and behold all my old posts posted! I'm so happy that I am now caught up as our FL trip is next week!
Other noteworthy July activities included:
Putting up 70+ quarts of purple hull peas with Emily! Let's just say we are ready for winter and yum...they are so good!



My favorite Memphis band has started playing a few times a month downtown at the new Riverfront Bar, so we have enjoyed listening to them with friends. This past Friday we ended up continuing the night with soul burgers at the famous Ernestine & Hazels! Fun times make the long work weeks all worth it!

Little Red Fishing Trip

We rented a cabin on the Little Red River for the long 4th of July weekend. The cabin was beautiful and spending time there with family and friends was perfect! Lily and Layne each caught a fish when they came up on Sunday and Mullen caught the same red fish over and over on his Mickey pole! Not to mention rocket balloons, Molly's birthday celebration and toes in the ice cold water!

4th of July (catch up)

We so enjoyed celebrating the 4th at the Jone's lake house! Delicious food and amazing fireworks...oh and a photo booth too! Best time with some of the best people I know!












These little boys must have had a busy day to fall asleep during the firework show!

Still blogging...

Well, I have intentions of blogging, but my computer is having issues and will not upload my iPhone photos. I haven't had time to go to the Apple Store, so I just hope it works itself out. My phone will only let me load one image, but hopefully I'll be able to update soon. Thanks to everyone who had asked...I guess I do have some faithful followers after all!
In the meantime, I leave you with the beautiful water lily in our pond this morning!

O Canada

I had to be in Toronto this week for meetings, so Ray went with me and we stayed the weekend with Robert, Leigh Ann, Thomas and Anna. It rained the entire weekend, so our plans changed. However, we still had a great time! So much so, I'm sad to say I didn't take hardly any pictures.

Fun Filled Saturday...

We've so enjoyed having Ray's parents in town! Today we went to Bass Pro not once, but twice, we celebrated his mom's birthday and enjoyed a long walk along the river followed by brunch and dinner at Flemings!

Fun way to raise some money!

Last night I hosted a paint party fundraiser for Molly. Molly is doing the 60 mile breast cancer walk in November. So very proud of her and happy to say she is getting closer to her $2,300 goal!
I think everyone had a great time and our amazing teachers really helped us along!

Oh how I love weekends!

Summer arrived in Memphis just in time for the Harbor Town 5K, but we still had a great race and enjoyed every bodies company! Pre race pic of the runners...I'll spare you the post race pic (did I say it was Humid??)!


On Saturday morning we drove to the lake to look at some land. Then Ray said he wanted to go to Mountain View, so off we went. Enjoyed the traditional 'pickin in the park' and a great dinner on he White River!
