'Success'ful Weekend!

Yesterday morning, I got up early and went with mom to spend the weekend with Molly and Logan! When we first got there, Molly took us to the beautiful town of Piggott, AR...it is about 25 miles from their house and the home of Molly's place of work...LA Darling.
Piggott doesn't have a WalMart, so this small town has so much character. We went shopping on the town square and then went by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer house. This was where Hemingway's second wife was raised and where her parents lived. They frequented this area, so in 1930 her parents converted their barn into a studio to give Ernest privacy to write while he was visiting. It was here that he wrote A Farewell to Arms as well as several short stories.
After lunch we floated down the Current River that is about a half mile from Molly's house. Such a clean, cool river! Below Mom and Molly are floating by!

About 5 pm we headed up to the house to start dinner which was delicious. Molly made us Paula Dean's Bacon Burgers, slow friend potatos, patty pan squash and a salad. For dessert, she made homemade peach custard and cheese cake stuffed peaches...yum! We were stuffed and exhausted, so we called it an early night! Thanks Molly and Logan for the fun weekend. Can't wait to come back for a longer float!
