Always easier to leave in the rain...

This week went by too fast. It is really a blur...I don't feel like I got to really visit with anyone, but I loved every minute of it! Lily and Layne kept us all on our toes (not sure how Emily does it everyday!). Lily kept us all building sand castles the first day, but once she realized she loved the ocean that was where she wanted to be!!
We had the best weather (until this afternoon) and a great beach set up, thanks to dad setting up our tent each morning very early! It was great to have Aunt Marca, Jayme and Lauren at the beach with us each day and Aunt Sherry and Shannon there for a couple of days!

This years firsts:
Renting bikes for the week -loved it and highly recommend it! Now, even though the hills are minimal, they are hard work on a bike. Better start preparing for next year!

New restaurants:
Cafe 30A - pricy, but worth every penny...not only do they have Cakebread wine by the glass, but they take reservations! Notes for next trip: they have 2 for 1 entrees from 5-6 pm and if you like bananas save room for dessert!

Great Southern Cafe in Seaside - good food, but crowded. Would definitely go back.

Grayt Coffee House - perfect break for a 6 mile bike ride. Great coffee and egg muffins!

Shrimp and lobster from Publix! 5 stars-They steam it for you and really beats having to get everyone ready and out the door to beat the crowds to the restaurant!

Farmers Market at Seaside-the tomato pie makes a great side for your publix shrimp!

Oldies but goodies:
Red Bar
Angels from Donut Hole

Oldie that I can do without:
Pandoras
Pompano Joes (in the summer)

Favorite that didn't make this trip:
Dewey Destins ( just too far into Destin from 30A)

Note for next year...Sunday Funday at Shortys!

Now, Emily and I are driving in silence...not sure how far we will make it...depends on these 2 cuties!
