Ray is 40!

And we had a mile high celebration in Denver!  We did a lot of hiking, but the highlight of our trip was to see Big Head Todd at Red Rocks.  We learned last time that tailgating at Red Rocks is a must.  We had a great weekend of celebration!

Tribe

We have loved cheering on Lily in softball and dance and Layne in t-ball this year.  I think Layne hit a homerun every time he went to bat!  Lily's team is made up of her school friends and there is so much action!  She has grown into such a great team player!  Sad to see their seasons end (after their tournament play this weekend!). Plus these kiddos have such a strong tribe supporting them and that warms my heart so!

CFC FLL

The last weekend in April, I went down to South Florida.  My friend, Stephanie, found out last year that she had breast cancer at 41.  A group of us got behind her and named ourselves her 'fight club.'  We told her when she was cancer free we would celebrate with a Cancer Free Celebration (CFC).  She picked the Ritz in Ft. Lauderdale and it was absolutely perfect!

I flew in a day early to hang out with my Aunt Sherry, Uncle Brad and Megan.  We had a great visit and fit in a ton of fun!

!

Then I met up with Stephanie, Jeni, Rebecca and Traci for some fun in the sun!  We relaxed, ate great food, laughed, soaked up the sun, danced and just enjoyed each other.  It could not have been a more perfect weekend to celebrate our warrior, Stephanie!  What else is awesome is I met all these girls in Jr League.  I joined for an organized way to volunteer and to get involved in Memphis.  Never could I have anticipated the wonderful, true friendships that would come out of it!  So very grateful to celebrate like with these girls!

Lake house renovation

Just add electrician and tile layer to our resumes!  Tile laying is for the birds, but grouting is fun!

Good Friday

Friday is so good, because Sunday is so great!  For the first time ever, Good Friday was a work holiday for me.  It was for Emily and Molly too, so Molly and I went and helped Emily get plants and ferns from a greenhouse in Little Rock.  A trailer full as a matter of fact.  Even though she doesn't have her shop any longer she still gets ferns for people.

Otis, Mullen's new dog, came too.  He is adorable and loved playing on the Jone's farm with the chickens, dog Peanut, cats Lucky and Tiger, bunny Cottonball and of course the kids and Nonna and Poppa!

Poppa has been building Layne the coolest 'Cabin in the woods!'  While we were gone today he hooked up the electricity!  It is super cool!

Friends who walk together, wine together and celebrate life together...

About 6 years ago, Rebecca introduced me to the Mustard Seed with a piece of their pottery.  I loved it...then I met the seedsters for the first time over a year ago and the rest is history! The seedsters innocent love and compassion brings so much joy to my heart and their staff is top notch...I'm hooked!

Friday we hit the road early for Jackson, MS to be buddy walkers for their 5k fundraiser (which in its 4th year has raised $120k dollars for them)!

After fueling at Begal Bagel, we hit the gift shop for some shopping!

Mr Ricky proudly showed us his canvas and we were ready to fight over it until we learned it was already sold...

Then we visited with some of the seedsters and got a sneak peak at the new men's group home!

Lucky for us it was popcicle day!  Big heart for Royce!  He had a huge cheering squad at the race filled with his family and church family and they were the sweetest!

We visited the Mississippi Museum of Art for the Mustard Seed exhibit!

And ended the night with a delicious dinner at Seafood Revolution. Bec and I were so excited for the fresh oysters!

And the wine...

We were up way too early to met our 'buddies,' but it was so worth it!  We got to met many of the seedsters families too!  The weather was perfect!

These ladies are lifers at weight watchers and they were so excited to introduce us to their weight watcher coach!

Heather and I finished strong in a little over an hour!  She fell last year and didn't get to complete the course!  It was fun encouraging her and seeing her pride and determination this year!

I am so thankful for these ladies and the huge hearts they have!  It was a fun filled 30 hours with some of my Bests!  Can't wait for our next trip!

I figured out how to post from my iPad, but

I have yet to figure out how to get the entire pic to show up...

2017 Q1

Included the most fantastic girls getaway in Key West with my college Bests!  This will need an entire post so I don't forget all the quirky, fun memories!

Catching a frozen possum in the fish pond...

Garth Brooks in Memphis!

Celebrating dad's birthday...

And moms!

I received Make A Wish's emerging leader of the year award for the tri state area.  Many memories of the last year include special Make A Wish families.  I am so thankful I'm able to work with this amazing organization!

Lily's birthday rabbit was finally born and able to come home with her.  Meet Cottonball Thumper Jones!

And Lily has just come out of her shell.  She wanted to volunteer with me over spring break and literally my heart exploded!  She was a natural!
